About the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship

The Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) is a voluntary partnership between Canada’s federal, provincial and territorial governments. The CCDA supports the development of skilled trades in Canada and it manages the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program.

As an organization, the CCDA does not have vested regulatory powers regarding training and certification in the skilled trades. However, the individual CCDA directors of apprenticeship and their organizations may hold regulatory powers through specific provincial/territorial legislation.

Each member is accountable to the jurisdiction that they represent.
